Why These Artifacts?

The following essays/artifacts were completed in Sage's freshman year of college. These pieces include responses to plays and documentaries that she's read and watched for several courses. These artifacts provide insight into the type of writer and artist scholar that she is, and exemplify several course objective for English 105. The reflective essay addresses her ultimate goals for her professional life and includes the way the goals are connected to her artifacts, Literacy in Theatre and The New Slavery. Broken Promises and Providence has a Plan, were written responses to plays. Broken Promises was written first semester whereas Providence Has a Plan was written second semester, which shows the development of Sage's writing over time. It is also an example of her ability to analyze text, which will be especially helpful for her as an actor who must pull character from the script.
