Born to parents of Afro-Caribbean heritage, Sage Fortune was born and raised in Long Island, NY. Her natural flare for the dramatic was nurtured from a young age with training in theatre, dance, and various instruments. She soon realized that acting was the craft that she loved the most, especially when paired with service/social justice.

After graduating from high school, she attended Howard University, majoring in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Acting (BFA 2020). Sage has also studied at the British American Drama Academy as well as Lyric Repertory Company where she also worked professionally.

She has contributed to various performances as an actor, director, and also intends to work as a producer to ensure the presence and integrity of stories specifically about women of color from around the world. She believes that good theatre can change people’s hearts and therefore the world. As Alice Walker said,

“Surely the earth can be saved by all the people who insist on love.”
